Traveling abroad with your child(ren) if you have different surnames

Question:

Is it possible to take my child abroad (outside the UK) if we have different surnames?

Answer:

It is possible to do this but you would need to have parental responsibility for the child(ren) or written permission from whoever has parental responsibility. You may be asked to provide evidence such as a birth certificate, marriage or divorce certificate at either the UK or foreign border so it is best to have all the necessary documentation with you when you travel. If you would like any further information, please get in touch and we would be very happy to assist you with any travel worries you may have.
